Is anyone else out there like me? I have been to Alaska, Tennessee, Florida, New York twice, Pennsylvania and now California in the last six months. You'd think I'd bring back a lot of cool stuff after visiting so many cool places, but all I ever seem to bring back with me is another five pounds. As my scale keeps getting higher (and also my clothing size) my self esteem keeps getting lower. I love being able to accompany my husband to all these places, but I feel so uncomfortable in my skin that I don't want to do anything while I'm here.
The big problem is that we both like to try new restaurant's and new kinds of food when we are out of town and that we both love dessert. He, fortunately, is a runner and can keep his weight off. I, on the other hand, am completely out of shape. I find myself trying to think of ways to lose it, but it basically comes down to getting my butt up and doing something.
So, this is my solution. I am having surgery on Dec 6th, which will keep me off my feet and unable to do much for several weeks. Until then, I am going to exercise as much as possible and change my diet to get a good start before the surgery. I know I have posted about this before, but I am at the point if I don't start now, I am going to be over 200 pounds by new year's. That can't happen!!
As soon as I am able, after I am healed from my surgery, I am joining the gym! I know I can't motivate myself, so maybe if I am in a public place, I will be more motivated. Also, no soda, and no sweets. Luckily, I love veggies and fish, which are going to be a large portion of my eating from now on.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I need help!
