My Thoughts:

The price is great. You would pay that much for two pieces from the kit.

I don't know if the primer has been reformulated or if my skin has changed, but I am loving it. I usually like more lotion type primers with less silicone, but this is feeling and looking really great on my skin.

The lipgloss is my favorite part of the kit. I love the huge applicator and the brightness of the pink. This is a color that would brighten anyone's face, but is sheer enough not to be scary to those who are afraid of color. I had made a deal with myself that I would not buy any glosses this year; to use what I have. But, if it comes in a kit, I don't count it. Ha!

The shadow liner in Chrome is gorgeous. It could be an everyday liner or a base for a smokey eye. The metallic steel color will be great for most complexions. If you are not a lover of gray liner, like me, don't worry. This liner is dark enough without being black and has a metallic sheen to it that brightens up the eye. It sets is seconds and is budgeproof, so be wary of that if you want to blend it out.

The Radiance blush is a light peach when mixed together. It is nice and glowy, but not shimmery. Perfect for those who dislike shimmer. The colors are a mix of pink, peach, berry and ivory and can be singled out or mixed however you wish. On darker skintones, this will be more of a highlight. It is not dark enough for me to wear alone, but will be great to blend out a darker color.

The concealer was really suprising to me. It actually looks like skin. I can see myself repurchasing this. I also like that it was buildable and I could get more coverage where I needed without looking cakey.

I like the colors of the eye palette. They all seem very cool toned to me, so if you don't like cool colors on your eyes, skip this or sell the eye palette. The next shipment has warm greens, so it will be worth it to just sell or give away the pieces you don't like. I can't say wether this is waterproof, but they did apply nicely, even though they were quite powdery to me. I swatched them with no primer and they had good color pay-off. The third set is the one I most look forward to, but I love color!

All in all, this is a really good deal. I highly suggest it if you are a make-up lover like me. Smashbox is really stepping up lately with their products, and I am very happy that they are. I had a love affair with Smashbox years ago, but the quality seemed to go down for a while. This kit has certainly redeemed them in my eyes. I hope for many more kits to come!!

What else would I suggest??

Try the new mascara and a Halo powder and you have a full face that will last you at least 6 months. The brow tech to go has also been calling out to me :)
