Skinn Cleansers- Review

One of my new loves lately is Dimitry James and his line of skincare and cosmetics- Skinn. I first saw him on ShopNBC nearly 6 years ago, but never purchased anything until last year. I am now in love with many of the products including the cleansers in which I am about to review.

Skinn products are available on as well as If you follow me on Facebook, I will always tell you when a good deal is coming :).

There are two cleansers available, that I love, each for a different reason. Dimitri calls them an AM and a PM cleanser.

The AM cleanser is the Sulfate Free Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. From the website:

Sulfate Free Rapid Exfoliating Cleanser is the perfect morning wash! This soap-free and sulfate-free cleanser cleanses and rapidly exfoliates the skin, yet is gentle and non-drying. This cleanser uses a combination of glycolic, salicylic and enzyme technology to remove surface debris and dirt from within pores. The formula also contains green tea, calendula, chamomile and phospholipids to help your makeup go on more smoothly. This sulfate free cleanser also doubles as a deep cleansing and exfoliating mask without the need for drying mud or clay.

Why I Love IT!

It has a slight tingling feeling on the skin and a menthol/eucalyptus smell that is perfect in the morning, when you wake up feeling stuffy from allergies or irritants, to open the airways and wake
you up.

The next cleanser is the Olive & Enzyme Rich Balm Cleanser. From the website:

Olive & Enzyme Rich Cleanser and Resurfacing Mask is an extra rich, natural cleansing treatment, packed with phyto-aromatic oils, polyphenols, vitamins and enzymes for luxurious nighttime cleansing and makeup removal. This cleanser melts off eye and face makeup as well as dirt, pollution, grime and surface debris, without ever stripping skin of moisture since it is detergent-free! This product also doubles as a wrinkle-softening mask.
Why I Love It!

It smells like the Brach's caramels with the orange centers- a warm, rich mix of orange and caramel. It smells good enough to eat. The smell comes from the orange oils used in it. This cleanser is a rich cream with no lather. I massage it all over my face and really work it in to remove my make-up. Night time is the only time I moisturize my skin and I love that this balm leaves me feeling hydrated and clean. I still have to use a separate eye make-up remover for really stubborn mascara, but that doesn't bother me.

The cleansers are sold separately on the page. ShopNBC and Skinn both offer them as a duo for $29.99, which is how I purchased mine. If you were lucky enough to get yesterday's TTV, both cleansers were included (I got it!). There is one more deal that includes the cleansers. I don't have this, but it is high on my wishlist.

Skinn Cosmetics SkinnSonic Seven-Piece Skin Perfecting System

All this is only $99.42 on If you've tried this, I'd love to know what you think of it. I have a Clarisonic Mia and hate it. I like that the Skinn replacement heads are more affordable than Clarisonic and that you get the cleansers with it.

What are your favorite Skinn products?
