Laura Geller Baked Blush- Bali

I am a collector of all things Laura Geller and have been for years. I especially love the baked blushes!

I have nearly every shade, minus a couple of the new ones (which I will get).

My newest shade is Bali.

Bali is a coral tinged rose. This is one of the more intense colors that Laura has made and it packs quite a punch. A little goes a long way, but man, is it beautiful!

This is the perfect shade for the cooler months. It is also perfect for boosting the complexion on those sallow days.

The finish is a satin texture with no sparkle.

I just love this blush. Maybe I should buy a second one just in case?

Yes, I am an addict!

Wishlist Wednesday- Laura Mercier

I have a love affair with Laura Mercier. I worked right next to the LM counter when I worked in the department store, and spend a lot of my free time testing out the products. When I got the opportunity to be a counter manager, the LM job had already been taken. I was so sad!

Laura's palettes this year are even better than last year!

Here are some of the new items on my wishlist:

(promo pic for the holiday collection. beautiful!)

The Flawless Face Book- convenient, travel friendly, your whole face in one place. (Sephora)

Artist's palette for eyes- I love LM shadows! I have last year's palette and this one has more shadows. Must have! (Sephora)

Mini Lip Glace' Collection- These glosses are portable, smooth, hydrating and a never fail when in a hurry. I can grab any color and it will work with what I am wearing. (Sephora)

Illuminating eye color- Not only is the pattern beautiful, but the effect on the eye is beautiful. I want every shade! (

Wet n Wild Limited Edition holiday sets & Giveaway!!

Let me tell you how hard these little buggers were to find. I searched the four Walgreen's on my side of town religiously. I also searched the Rite Aid and drove across town to two CVS's with no luck. I ended up going into Indiana to my old Walgreen's and there they were! Now I know where to go to first!!!

Rant over- Here are the swatches.

The two palettes I bought were Shimmer the Night Away and Sparkle til Morning. There was also a re-promote of last years I heart Matte. I didn't get it, but may end up picking it up if it shows up locally.

Shimmer the Night Away:

This is the cool toned palette. If you love a smokey eye, or bright colors, this is the one for you! The swatches were difficult to photograph. The amount of shimmer and the metallic sheen made the light reflection difficult for the camera to focus in on.

Sparkle Til Morning:

This is the warm palette. It screams summer and fa…

Homecoming makeup and hair

I loved this look I did last night for a homecoming dance and wanted to share. I did her hair and makeup.

I didn't want her to look masky or too made up, but it was a dance, so I wanted to play up her lashes.

I used:

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #27
It Cosmetics medium concealer
Bare Minerals original in medium beige
Tarte highlighter
Laura Geller eyeshadow as bronzer
Laura Geller Bali blush
Tarte liquid liner
Dior Golden Savannah palette
Mod lashes
Anastasia lip color
Dalton blonde brow mousse

Retirement Dinner Look

I just wanted to share the makeup I wore to a retirement party for my husband's ex boss last week. I wore a black and white polka dot dress that came past the knee and black open toe wedges with a bow on the toe. I also brought a black cardigan.

I curled my hair with a curling iron and just lightly sprayed it.

I wanted to play up the green in my eyes so I wore a purple smokey eye using colors from the Urban Decay Smoked and Vice palettes. I used Laura Geller Bora Bora blush on the cheeks and deepened it with Tarte Achiote because it needed more color. I used Bite lipstick in Fig and ended up putting a Mally peach shade over it for added shine.

Wishlist Wednesday- Wish my house was finished!

Today, I am not wishing for more beauty products. Today, I am wishing that my house was finished!

We bought this new house in August and had to gut most of it and completely remodel because it had not been updated since the 60's and it was apparent in the decor.

I have my own beauty room and it is almost finished, the kitchen may possibly be finished next Monday if the counter tops come in.

My bedroom and expanding the bathroom in my room, are the next project. That will probably take the longest time.

The upstairs is the kids' area. The only change we did was putting a washer/dryer unit in their bathroom closet. I painted my daughter's room. Other than that, we aren't putting a bunch of money into the upstairs at this time. Kids will be kids, and it will not be taken care of.... we will update their bathroom possibly next year.

We did get a new heat/air unit and a metal roof put on. I still want a new door to match the roof.

We have been living with my husband's …

BareMinerals by Bare Escentuals Beautifully Brilliant TSV

It's here! And it's just lovely!!!

Beautifully Brilliant- 8 Exquisite Pieces For Eyes, Lips And Face Perfect Light Mineral Veil Finishing Powder:

From BE: This color adjusting formula adapts to UV light to soften the appearance of shadows, fine lines and discoloration to help you look your best in any lighting. My Impression: It feels and looks like a very dry version of Laura Geller Baked Vanilla highlighter but is more opaque on the skin. I worry that this will leave white flashes on the face in photography. Perfect Rose Blush:
A warm pop of peachy pink color. I would say more neutral. Not too cool or warm

Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Shining Star:

Dusty Rose. Very sheer on the lips, intensifies the natural color.

READY Liner Shadow- The Horizon Line featuring Perspective and Panorama:

Intense Charcoal and Deep Espresso. Both have shimmer.
