Chanel Spring 2013- Review and Swatches

I have a small Chanel obsession at the moment, so prepare for several Chanel type posts.

Wearing La Favorite and Frivole

I really loved the Spring 2013 collection, and wanted more from it than I purchased, but ended up buying four pieces from the collection.

I had to have the highlight powder! It looked so gorgeous online and the reviews had all been positive. It did not disappoint!

Poudre Signee De Chanel $68

The top half has no product and the bottom half has the highlight powder buffed in.

This powder gives the softest sheen in an almost beigey/pink/gold mix that looks very angelic on the skin. It is a glowy look that is not shiny or shimmery. I really love it!

The next product I had to have was the blush in Frivole. I did not have anything close to this soft orange shade in my collection, and I love Chanel blushes!

Joues Contraste 76 Frivole $43

The top is buffed in and the bottom is more heavily swatched.

This orange shade may look scary in the pan, but buffed onto the cheeks gives a warm, fresh look. Cooler toned skin may want to skip it, but warm tones will love it. There is no shimmer to this shade, but a soft satin finish that looks very natural on the skin.

I purchased my first Chanel eyeshadow quad with this collection! Raffinement looked like the perfect nude collection that would go with anything, so I thought I would try it.

Les 4 Ombres 39 Raffinement $59

I would highly recommend this palette to any skin tone because of the neutral tones it contains. I found this gives a perfect natural eye look that can also be smoked out for a more dramatic effect. The colors blend seamlessly into each other and feel so creamy and silky to the touch. The pigmentation is great. The darkest shade is matte, while the other three are more of a satin, but none of the shades contain a great amount of shimmer.

The last product I wanted to try was the matte lipstick in La Favorite. I had never owned a Chanel lip product, so this one seemed like it would work nice with the blush shade from the collection.

the lipstick pops out of the bottom by pushing it in

Rouge Allure Velvet 43 La Favorite $34

La Favorite is a beautiful dark coral with just enough brightness to look modern and fresh. The matte formula looks soft and satiny without drying the lips or cracking. It feels very comfortable and last for 4-5 hours if I don't eat. I now want the pink one from the collection as well.

As a whole I think this collection is very good and great for Spring. The bright lip is right on trend for the year and will work for every season. The highlighter is soft and great for any age and skin type, especially those who want a more subtle look. The shadows are great nudes that blend like a dream. The blush is unique and nice to have if you want something different in your collection than the typical rose or pinky peach.

I would recommend that every girl have a Chanel lipstick in their collection! They feel luxurious and make me happy when I wear them.
