Morning Boost Protein Shake

This is a shake I came up with when combining recipes of a protein shake and a morning metabolism drink. It tastes delicious!

2 scoops Visalus, or 1 serving of vanilla protein powder of choice

6 oz Simply Apple or other organic 100% apple juice

1 banana

1 tablespoon Bragg apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon fiber powder, I have Sam's Club brand (optional)

Cinnamon (about 1/4 tsp or more according to taste)

small dash of Cayenne powder

2-3 ice cubes

Blend all together and enjoy!

My favorite blender is my Ninja Pulse. It comes with single use cups and blade as well as a pitcher with blade and it will blend through anything perfectly. I love being able to make one serving in a cup and then drink from the same cup with the rubber tops that come with it. I think I paid around $100 for it at Target, and then I picked up a back-up when they were on sale at Meijer at Christmas.

This shake is full of protein and fiber to help you feel full, with the metabolism boosting properties of the apple cider vinegar, cinnamon and cayenne. This smoothie is also less than 300 calories!!!
