Smashbox Wonder Vision Mega Palette- Review

I am so excited to bring you this review! As I have previously posted, Smashbox is one of my all time favorite brands, and this new palette for Holiday 2013 does not disappoint!!

Introducing the Wonder Vision Mega Palette from Smashbox:

This palette is a combination of 30 eyeshadows , 3 blushes, and a bronzer. The palette itself consists of a silver, mirror finish, cardboard similar to a Z Palette. The inside hosts a large mirror and four get the look cards, along with the makeup.

Now, let's take a look at the palette. (All shades swatched with finger without primer) Click on photo to enlarge.

The shades in this palette range from matte to metallic, and include a couple of shades with glitter. The color range is impressive considering there are only 30 shades.

Row 1: Smoky greys and blacks

silver, grey, slate, brown, pewter, glitz
silver- metallic, intense silver gray- satin, lilac grey, slightly sheer slate- metallic taupe,  brown- dark brown with gold glitter pewter- metallic dar…

Airbrushed FOTD with bright pink lip

I love a bright lip when I wear my glasses. I almost match my glasses with my lips most of the time. Today I wanted a simple eye with a brightened inner corner to go with my bright pink lips.

On my face I used Dinair camouflage foundation in Olive Beige as a concealer and all over foundation. I concealed under my eyes with Dinair concealer in Light Beige and set my t-zone with my Nars loose powder.

I contoured my face and eyes with Lt Bronze airbrush makeup and defined my lower lashline and outer half of my eyes with the same shade. On the inner half and inner corner I used Lt Silver airbrush makeup and also highlighted my cheeks with the same shade. Super easy this morning!

I lined a very thin line with Lorac Pro liquid liner and used my favorite mascara- Smashbox Full Exposure. I did a tiny amount if filling in my brows with my It Cosmetics brow pencil.

My cheeks are Dinair airbrush makeup in Cloudy Pink.

I use Urban Decay lipliner and Revolution lipstick in Anarchy. I love this sha…

Dinair airbrush- Smokey metallic eyes

My eyes are red and sore this morning, meaning no contacts today. Since I must wear my glasses, I feel I have free range to wear a stronger eye without anyone noticing I am "dressing up" as they like to call it.

First, I want to mention something that I have forgot to mention in my earlier posts. I did not tell you all how well this makeup covers my acne. I already have my makeup on, but will try to remember tonight to take a close up naked face and edit it back into this post so that you can see what all is being covered by this makeup and it feels like nothing on my skin. I will do another post this week detailing how I cover everything. I had also read a question by MsKimiKiwi on Facebook about how this makeup acts on oily/combo skin. Well, I have combo skin and it is perfection. You will still have oil no matter what makeup you wear. With Dinair the oil still seeps through and you can blot and powder just like with any other makeup and it stays put and looks like new aft…

Airbrush makeup- purple smoke

Today's full face look using my Dinair airbrush makeup.

I wanted to experiment with color today, so I used pink and purple with a smidge of black. Everything is airbrushed except for my mascara and waterline liner and some lipgloss.

I used my Dinair concealer in Light Beige under my eyes.

I used Dinair liquid powder as a base on my t-zone to prevent oil.

My foundation is a layer of Glamour foundation in Lt Golden Beige mixed with a drop of vanilla for concealing and a layer of Camouflage foundation in Olive Beige.

I used a brow stencil with Lt Smoke makeup.

My blush is Bronze Rose and I also did a tiny amount of contour with it. I also did a little bit of highlight with the leftover pink I used on my eyes.

My crease color is Deep Purple and I also used it on the bottom lashline. I mixed equal amounts of Sassy Pink and Pink Blossom for my lid color and on my inner corner and inner bottom lashline. I used my concealer shade from above as my brow color. I mixed 2 drops Deep Purple wi…

Adventures in Airbrushing with Dinair airbrush makeup

If you follow me on Facebook, you might know that I recently went to Chicago to attend a Dinair airbrush makeup class and get my certification in airbrush makeup. Since the class, I am obsessed with using my airbrush! I have been practicing daily and am slowly developing my skill. I hope that one day I will get to work with Dinair!

Here is my first full face airbrush look! I added mascara and gloss to finish the face.

For this look:

Camouflage foundation in Olive Beige
Dinair concealer in Light Beige
Nars setting powder under eyes

Light smoke on brows- free handed
Topaz on lid, Light Bronze in crease and bottom lashline, Deep purple on outer v, Gold on inner corner, Vanilla on brow bone, Jet Black as liner.

Cheeks and lips are Bronze Rose
