It Cosmetics CC Cream- Review

I know, I know- Everyone who is anyone in the blogging world has reviewed the It Cosmetics CC Cream. I have read many of them myself, and all of which state how amazing and profound this product is. For that reason alone, I had to try it myself to see if it really is as good as they say it is.

I have personally tried several different BB creams, but never a CC cream. I am not crazy about the BB creams, so I was not interested in CC creams. But, this product is everywhere. I can't even scroll through my Facebook feed without reading something about it. Everyone just keeps raving about it. Is it really that good?

Remember, I have horrible skin. I have tried everything from over the counter to prescription to Accutane for my skin problems and still, no miracle cure. The only thing I can do is use products that don't cause further reaction to my skin. I also require good coverage.

First Impressions:

The packaging is great! I love the pump on a tube combination.

The smell is nice. It is not the spf, chemical smell, I have come to expect from a high spf product. It actually smells nice and kind of fruity.

The medium shade is a great neutral- not too pink or yellow.

First Application:

The product feels like a cream. It blends into the skin like a moisturizer.

The coverage is a medium and can be buildable.

The finish is luminous, but not shiny or greasy. It does not set like a foundation. For this reason a powder is must if you have oily skin.

My before and after:

I used the It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation in Light Medium applied with a large fluffy brush to set the CC cream. As you can see, my skin looks even and fresh, not heavy or cakey. You can still see some of my marks through the makeup, but they look less apparent. The luminosity in the CC cream reflects light, making my skin look even better than what it is in photos. My pores are smoother, my dark circles under my eyes are brightened. My over all skin tone is brighter.

The only fault I find with this product is the lasting ability. After 4-5 hours the product will start looking cakey around my nose and mouth. I can easily buff it back down and re-powder and it looks good as new. Around 8-9 hours, it looks like it is floating on top of the oil on my forehead. The CC cream definitely does not wear off, it just travels around if there is oil. Blotting is a must to avoid this happening.

So, is this CC cream the miracle cream I expected it to be?

I can honestly say that my skin looks better after wearing this than it did before I put it on. There is something in it that is healing my skin. I have zero reaction in my skin such as breakouts or clogged pores. I feel like it is helping my skin. I love the way my skin looks with this on. I usually set it with my Celebration Foundation or my Ready foundation. If I have a bump that requires more coverage, I use concealer over the spot.

So, YES, it is as good as I read that it was. It is perfect for daily wear. It heals my skin and makes my skin look healthy. And it only takes seconds to apply!

Some tips for applying:

Use your fingers and pat it on for more coverage. A brush or sponge will not do.

Always set with a powder.

Use oil blotting sheets to prevent separation and caking and keep a setting powder on hand for touch-ups.
