Travel blog- shampoo find

I often get to my destination and find that I forgot to pack several items. In this instance it was shampoo and conditioner.     I was really unsure of the results I would get with a drugstore brand, but was pleasantly surprised. The photo is a horrible hotel room mirror pic of my half damp hair. I tried to capture how shiny my hair is using these products. My hair is also super soft and silky.
Dove Cool Moisture shampoo and conditioner. $2.99 each at Fred Meyer
This duo has a mild, fresh scent if cucumber and green tea that is not at all unpleasing.
I will continue using these when I get home. I actually think my hair looks better using these than using my Wen.
What are your favorite drugstore hair products?

Quickie Review- Nars Light Reflecting Setting powders

Pressed or Loose? That is the question.

Nars Light Reflecting Setting powders- loose and pressed

Many people have reservations when it comes to purchasing loose powder products. They are messy, harder to travel with, and take a lot more skill to use than a pressed product.

The Nars powders are very popular in the beauty community because of the flawless look they give to the skin. I had to purchase both powders to really test them out and see how they differed.

These are heavy swatches- pressed on left, loose on right.
Loose on bottom and Pressed on top
When it comes to the loose version of this powder, less is way more. This powder is extremely more opaque than the pressed powder and would cause major flashback if applied too heavily. If photography is not an issue, this one looks beautiful on the skin and leaves an airbrushed, poreless finish on the skin. A large, loose powder brush is a must with this one. This product is the more matte finish of the two, but a luminous matte.

Sedona Lace brush haul and first impressions!!!

This is my first ever brush set by any brand popular in the beauty community or social media. I have ordered from Crown Brush before, but never an official beauty brand. My other brushes were bought as singles and I have just accumulated a lot of them over time. Sedona Lace has been intriguing to me, but I had never took that plunge until Black Friday when they had 50% off everything. I could not pass up that opportunity!

First Impressions upon opening the box- everything was packaged very well, I loved the way the Vortex set came in the sheer black bag.The included pamphlets were very thorough and even included cleaning instructions that would make these perfect for beginners as well. Since I was within so many orders that day, I also received a free liquid liner pen. Oh, and they also gave me free shipping!

Before I get asked how these compare to Sigma- I have never tried Sigma. I will do a complete brush breakdown line by line coming soon. I do wish Sigma would have had a good sale…

Mally Evercolor Starlight 10pc eye liner set- Review

Mally - Makeup artist to the stars has created a line for QVC featuring her most beloved cosmetics! Shop special offers today!

I have developed an allergy to nearly every eyeliner I own. This means I can't use my beloved Urban Decay liners anymore. One brand that I can use and that works very well is Mally.

This newest collection of ten pencil liners was a nice range of colors to satisfy my need for variation from the normal black liners I own.

Midnight, Peacock Feathers, Sailor, Wildthing, Cobalt

Starshine, Sparking, Smoky Taupe, Lucky Penny, Black Cherr

I really like the packaging with this collection. It is much more usable than the previous sets that have been available. I can sit this one on my makeup table and use it much more easily.

Most of these shades are metallic or have shimmer, so those of you who do not like that will want to steer clear of this one. Midnight and Peacock Feathers are the two matte shades and are well worth picking up on eBay.

I love these liner…

Mally 12pc Celebrate Your Beauty Collection Review

Mally has once again outdone herself with this new Today's Special Value, coming in December on QVC.

This new collection features three complete looks with three separate eyeshadow palettes, liners, lipglosses and mascara. They can be used together, separate, or given as gifts.

I have broken this review into the three separate looks as presented in the packaging.

Look number one is a the Radiant Taupe shadow trio with Mauvelous gloss and Royal Plum liner. This is the lightest of the eye palettes and the deepest of the lipglosses.

Look number two is the Romantic Brown shadow trio, Espresso liner, and Mally Melon gloss. This is the more smoky eye palette and the palest lip of the three.

Look number three is the Royal Plum shadow trio, Shimmering Black liner, and Petal to the Metal gloss.

Liners and Glosses swatched together

The volumizing mascara in this collection is in special black packaging that looks as if it has been dipped in glitter.
