Quickie Review- Maskcara IIID foundation

This product has been pushed to the back of my makeup drawer for months, just because I could not find a way to like it, and didn't want to write a negative review.

I finally decided to pull it out again today and give it another go. This is the medium duo.

I have handled this a lot and used it several times, as you can tell by the dingy packaging. That is what I dislike about the white, though I do like the look of it when it is clean.

Cara used a double ended brush from It Cosmetics to apply this product, so I used the same brush.

What I don't like about this product:

The contour shade is very sheer. It actually blends right into my face and doesn't show up at all.

The highlight shade sits into any flake, line, or wrinkle on my face. I don't mind it being yellow, I just want it to blend.

This product does not set. It stays tacky and feels very waxy on my skin.

You must use a lot of product to get it to show up.

What I like about this product:

It blurs the look of pores.

It photographs nicely.

It looks natural.

The compact is nice and sturdy and has a good mirror.

I feel like the idea is good, but the product needs tweaking. It definitely needs to be more pigmented, take some of the wax out, and make it set like a powder. I would not recommend it to anyone as it is, and would not purchase it again for myself. I hate saying this because I really like Cara and her blog.
