My one-two punch for knocking out fine lines around the eyes

I have been struggling lately with these new fine lines that have magically appeared under my eyes. I only started noticing them when I put concealer under my eyes and it settled into these lines, magnifying them. I immediately went into panic mode and started researching how to treat them.
(continued below)
Before application. Dry, dehydrated skin
After application. Skin looks hydrated and firmer.

It is very hard to photograph fine lines. I hope you get the gist of what these products do from these pictures.

Step One to treating fine lines and dehydration in general is to exfoliate the dead, dry skin off. I use my Dermabrasion machine from Dr. Denese for physical exfoliation, but find it too harsh for this delicate area. I prefer a chemical exfoliation for under the eyes. The Firming and Resurfacing Eye Pads are a gentler version of the face pads that Dr. Denese sells. I cut these in half and use half of one pad for both eyes. This preps the skin for step two.

Step Two is the Hydro…

Mally Beauty Core Products Review and Demo

Every great makeup look begins with a great foundation of core products that prep, perfect, and finish. Today I am showcasing the core products of Mally Beauty, which happens to be one of my very favorite makeup lines.

The very first step to any makeup application is skin prep. Always start with clean, hydrated skin, and clean hands.

Perfect Prep Poreless Primer is a gel/lotion hybrid that is unique to any primer I have ever used. (I own a lot of primers.) The packaging is weighty, pink, and fabulous! This primer glides onto the skin like silk and feels weightless. Mally has said to use this over your skincare at night for extra benefits to the skin. It can also be used alone for a smoother look to the skin.

Ultimate Performance Liquid Foundation is a thin, pigment rich, medium to full coverage foundation. I mix light and medium together to get a good match, but eventually will get the new light-medium shade.

I used my Pro Tricks Corrector palette today in Light…

Bare Minerals- The True Romantic quad- Review

I am a sucker for all things in the Ready line from Bare Minerals. The rose gold packaging makes me weak in the knees! I knew I had to have this quad!!

(note: I did try the lipstick from this collection and did not like it, but will add the swatch at the bottom of this post)

The True Romantic:

Rose gold goodness! (Fingerprint magnet)

Two photos to show the way the light reflects from the shadows.
Top left, clockwise: Love it, Woo is me, Louder, Head over heels

Love it, Woo is me, Louder, Head over heels

Love it- Pale white with a hint of mint, sheer sparkle shadow.

Woo is me- The most unique pale pink with a gold shift. Gorgeous!

Louder- metallic copper with great pigment.

Head over heels- matte deep gray/plum.

I can see that these colors will not be for everyone. If you are a collector such as I am, you will want this! The Woo is me shade is the star of this palette. These shades are not your ordinary nudes, and will make a great addition to other nude palettes. Blue-eyed girls will…

Bobbi Brown- Bronze Eye Palette- Review

I am obsessed with the look of bronzed, summer skin after all this cold weather. My past few purchases are proof of this! I cannot wait to get a tan.

This Bronze eyeshadow palette from Bobbi Brown was at the top of my list. I love a sparkle eyeshadow in a palette. I don't care how old you are, a sparkle can work for you if used properly. Bobbi's sparkle shadows are very finely milled and subtle until they catch the light.

This whole palette works well together. If I could invent my own summer palette, this would be it!

The slook mirrored packaging is beautiful, but a magnet for fingerprints!

I included two photos to show how the light reflected off the shadows. Top left, clockwise: Amber, Rich Bronze, Toast, Gold

Gold, Amber, Rich Bronze, Toast

Gold- sparkle eye shadow: This is a finely milled warm gold sparkle.

Amber- shimmer wash eye shadow: The perfect peachy gold shimmer.

Toast- matte eye shadow: matte warm brown.

Rich Bronze- metallic eye shadow: The perfect name, it is …

Lancome, The French Touch 5 piece set- Review

The French Touch 5 piece collection aired as a Today's Special on HSN several weeks ago. This was a wonderful value at $75 and free shipping. It is still available for purchase for $92. The retail value is $138.

Roses In Love
Blink Pink

The Bi-Facil eye makeup remover is one of the best at removing waterproof makeup. There are cheaper dupes on the market, and I would never pay full price for it, but getting it in a kit is always a bonus.

The Le Stylo retractable liner is new to me. This shade is not the blackest black. It is more of a dark charcoal. It is smooth and doesn't tug and seems to work well on the waterline. If you don't like a harsh, stark, black, this is for you.

The Rouge In Love lipstick formula is one of my fa…

Old Navy Spring/Summer dress- Haul

As a tall woman (5'11), I find it hard to find just about anything that fits me properly. Dresses are often too short or hit me at weird lengths. Sleeves are always too short, as well as pants.

My favorite, and most affordable, place to buy my tall clothes is Old Navy. They have a huge selection of clothes online for tall women. I only wish they would add them to the store.

It is important to know that there is a difference in "long" and "tall". In most jeans, long means 33 or 34" inseam. Tall jeans are usually a 35 or 36" inseam. I need the tall.

I order almost all my clothes from Old Navy. The clothes are comfortable, made well, and on trend. There is also always a nice coupon or sale going on to add on at check-out. These dresses will be perfect this summer, over swimsuits, at pool parties or barbecues. and with flip-flops or sandals.

Here is what I got in the mail today:

long sleeve wrap made of t-shirt material

strapless maxi

I wear a medium tall…

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick Review!

360 As You Want Victoria
One swipe on the hand provided super intense coverage

This new lipstick formula from Rimmel London is a full coverage super hydrating, balm/lipstick infusion. It leaves behind a stain that last for hours and hours. If you suffer from dry lips, this formula will be your go-to.

The only negative side of the lipstick is that is can travel outside of the lip line because of the intense pigment. Proper prepping of he lips is required. I would recommend applying a lip primer before using this if that is a problem.

I found this lipstick made my teeth look whiter, gave me full coverage, and was very comfortable to wear. I would love to try some lighter, more natural looking shades to compare. I will definitely be picking more of these up!!!

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes
