Votre Vu ARCH DE TRIUMPHE Brow Definer- Review

Brows are the most important feature on the face when it comes to creating structure. A great makeup can look less than flattering without a defined brow. I am a bit of a collector of brow products, always looking for the next best thing. This brow cream from Votre Vu did not disappoint.

From the website:

Raise brows when you amp up your allure with Arch de Triumphe, an innovative, antioxidant-enriched brow-shaping formula. Lightweight and water-resistant, this long-lasting blend of soft waxes, vitamin E and micronized minerals mimics the sheer and natural highlights of your hair — so you don´t appear stenciled-n-penciled, just coquettish and coiffed! Select from four silky shades to create a highbrow, custom palette. French women know a polished brow projects a more youthful and vivacious visage; so take their comely cue and fill in what nature left out. So easy to use that in just a few seconds, you can reveal a beautifully framed face, brilliantly highlighted eyes, and more confiden…

Votre Vu Bébé Duette luxurious lips and hand cream duo- Review

I don't know about you, but I love a good lip balm. Add a hand cream to my lip balm, and I have a handy dry skin savior. Most of us are driest on our lips and hands, so this makes perfect sense.

Votre Vu is a brand new to me and first introduced when I did a review for My Beauty Bunny several months ago. The company is California based, with a mix of French and American ingenuity. The products are luxe, and well made. I will be doing several reviews in the coming weeks.

The Bébé Duette was sent to me in both a clear balm and tinted balm formula. The tinted offers a tiny red tint to the lips (think Cherry chapstick, but much better), but both are the same great formula.

Luxe Lips

This nourishing lip balm made from coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax gently protects, nourishes and softens lips in every condition. A deliciously light and natural coconut flavor delivers a guiltless treat to your mouth with every application. Intensively nourishing, your lips will become supple and shiny…

Gorgeous Cosmetics Bronzer and Highlighters- Review

My inspiration for this haul was a live chat with Corey Bishop via Specktra several weeks ago. He really talked up the Prism highlighter, so I had to have it. I will link the live chat recording at the end of this review

The four products pictured are Prism Summer highlighter, Endless Summer bronzer in 01, Prism highlighter, and Apples blush.

All but the Prism highlighter came in the matte black rubber like packaging. Prism came in a mirrored compact. I don't like the mirrored compact because it feels more fragile and the mirror will not stay up when the compact is open, it just falls backward.

I did not swatch Apples because it will be included in my review of the blush palette that is coming up. (If you love a pinky/peach blush, get it!)

Summer is the perfect golden highlight. It has the perfect amount of sheen but no sparkle or glitter. It is the kind of sheen that captures the light at c…

Gorgeous Cosmetics Fashion Eyeshadow Palette- Review and Swatches

I must admit, I ordered this palette for one shadow- goldfish! I was going to buy it separately, but it was in the palette, and the palette is a better deal.... you know how that goes.

Lucky for me, all the shades in this palette are gorgeous!

gorgeous gold, goldfish, marshmellow, plum
teal, cadet, papa smurf, peter pan

Gorgeous Cosmetics knows how to make a shadow. Most of their shadows have amazing pigmentation, with the exception of some of the mattes. I always swatch without a base, and I still got good color payoff. Teal was really the only chalky looking one in the swatches, but to the touch, the color payoff was outstanding.

This whole palette is a winner for me.

I am not saying this is a stand alone palette. But, if you have a large collection of neutral and are looking to expand into some color, this is a great palette to get.

And that goldfish shade.... if you have blue eyes, just get it!

No duds in this one.

I actually think this would make an amazing Fall palette. And keep…

Midnight Velvet Braided Tassel Hobo Bag Review and Giveaway!

I am not a big handbag person. I usually don't even carry a handbag. When I was recently given the opportunity to choose a handbag to review, I really weighed the options to pick a handbag that was classic and stylish, as well as useful.

I ended up choosing the Braided Tassel Hobo Bag. I love a simple, white handbag. The taupe trim makes this bag the perfect neutral piece for any wardrobe. The style goes from casual to dressy. This handbag reminded me of a much more expensive version that my QVC friends go crazy for, but smaller, lighter, and faux leather.  If you are like me and do not want animals to be killed at the expense of a handbag, you will appreciate the faux leather.

This white bag is roomy with a middle zippered compartment for more valuable items and many pockets for organization.

The outside of the bag features a zipper compartment and decorative tassel.

This bag also fits over the shoulder comfortably.

The retail value of this bag is $89.95, which is superb for the …

Gorgeous Cosmetics Neon 8 pan palette- Review

I just placed a massive order with Gorgeous Cosmetics after watching and winning on a live video Q and A with Corey Bishop, their Director of Artistry. I was intrigued and wanted to try everything, but since I could not afford to buy one of everything, I ordered as much as I could.

For my first "show and tell", I am reviewing the Neon palette. This palette was the one I was immediately drawn to because of the vibrant colors. I found the palette to be misleading as the promo image shows a red shadow and two purple shades in the palette-

And this is what I got-

This confuses me. Did they put the wrong shades in my palette or is the promo really misleading? I wanted the palette from the promo.

On to the swatches and reviews of the shadows I did receive. (Oh, I also pushed one of the shadows out of the palette to see if it was labeled and they are not. They are glued into the palette. It seems like these aren't made to easily refill.)

The Swatches:

Buttercup, OJ, Orange, Gra…

Fusion of Color Cosmetics- Review

Unless you live under a rock, if you are a makeup artist or enthusiast, you have heard of the group, "In My Kit". This group is where I found out about diamond powder and the company who makes it, Fusion of Color. The creator, Kathy, was kind enough to send me some samples to try.

This sampler bag featured a variety of products offered on the website. I tried out every product and will give you my thoughts and let you know which I have purchased in full size, or will be purchasing.

Perfect Canvas Cleansing Oil- I love cleansing oils. This one thoroughly cleansed my skin and left it feeling so silky soft. I was shocked at how soft! The only downside is the smell. I am guessing it is the natural smell of the ingredients, but I would prefer a natural fragrance oil to be added such as sweet orange or vanilla. Other than that, I love it and want a giant bottle. Will purchase!
