Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Review

Image
I am no stranger to a powder cleanser or exfoliant. I've tried the Bare Minerals version and the Tatcha version, along with buffing grain type products that mix with a cleanser. What makes this one unique is the addition of chemical exfoliant so that you get a dual exfoliation. I can add a few drops of water and make a paste to scrub my face, or add more water and make a cream and a lighter exfoliation. The salicylic acid is great for my congested pores and acne.

I will probably not purchase this once it is gone, simply because I like a more multipurpose product that cleanses and exfoliates at once. But it is a good product and works well for a light exfoliation. I do prefer this out of the three I have tried. I am a fan of Dermalogica products and would highly recommend the line to anyone looking for a great skincare routine.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Eyeshadow Palettes- swatches

Image
Here they are and they are all awesome! I have swatches of all ten palettes and I will tell you some of my thoughts on them at the end.

01 Defiant Nude
02 Ivory Power
03 Provocative Petal
04 Rebel Metal
05 Fiery Saffron
06 Currant Desire
07 Untamed Teal
08 Infamous Sky
09 Fierce Safari
10 Envious Orchid

I will start by saying that I think Estee Lauder does some of the best matte eyeshadow on the market (wild truffle, wild sable, chocolate bliss, etc). These palettes have a great mix of mattes, shimmers, metallics, and satins. They are a bit powdery when you dip your brush into them. But, the pigmentation is great.

My favorites- Fiery Saffron, Provocative Petal, and Infamous Sky. But I also love the metallics in Rebel Metal and Fierce Safari. I actually want them all.

These were taken in a bit of a hurry, but I hope they are helpful enough to help you choose.

Thanks for stopping by!

Votre Vu Palette Play Eyeshadow Quad- Nude- Review

Image
The Nude quad from Votre Vu has a little something for everyone to love. The shades are not named on the palette, but are gorgeous just the same.

The deep bronze brown has a hint of sparkle, but the sparkle buffs off and it looks practically matte on the skin.

The warm matte camel tone is the perfect transition shade for every eye color.

Of course, there has to be a metallic taupe shade for all the taupe lovers. This one is beautiful and a great addition to what would have been a totally warm toned quad.

The matte cream shade is your typical matte highlight, and makes this quad complete.

You do not need to add anything else to this quad to complete a look. It has everything you need. I love that I can throw this in my makeup bag and not need another palette. It is very versatile and easily goes from day to night.

The formula is soft and pigmented. These shadows are also nourishing to the skin with jojoba and vitamin E.  It doesn't even need a primer, but they do offer one that wo…
