Bravon- Artistry Activated Cosmetics

Let's go back in time for a moment, to a time when thousands of women worldwide united and celebrated in kinship over their beloved mineral makeup from Bare Minerals. This was a time when friendships were created, sparkles were traded, and love was given to and from the company that cared so much about it's customers. I was a member of so many groups, and the spirit of all the women was phenomenal. I wanted so bad to be one of them and belong. I even traveled all the way to Philadelphia to attend one of the talked about Master Classes. It was amazing and I would do it again over and over. I even went on to work at a counter to share my love for these amazing products.

But then, something changed. This amazing customer service changed. The company took a new direction and left all those who loved it so dearly behind, so that they could market to new customers. It happens. We survived. After all, money runs the world. It was a sad day when we learned that the company was letting go of all the people that were so beloved. If you were a believer, you know what happened and where they are now. I still love my products and still have drawers full. This love is what led me to try out the products I am reviewing for you today. From none other than the man that taught at the Philadelphia class. The man that everyone wanted a photo with and to have their makeup done by. This man was the International Makeup Artist for Bare Minerals- Bravon Pascua. And I am so proud to introduce his new company and makeup line- Bravon: Artistry Activated Cosmetics.

My first order consisted of five pigments and a lipgloss. Bravon so generously included some extras that coordinated with my order. I am amazed at the generosity. I immediately placed a second order that should be here today. I now want to collect one of everything in his line to use professionally and one of everything for myself ;). A third order will have to wait until my husband gets over me ordering these two. :P

The first thing I want to bring to your attention is the packaging of these cosmetics. Not only is the box full of padding, but each bundle of makeup is also put securely into these vinyl pouches with a clear window to see them thru.

The magnetic eyeshadows come secured into a plastic clam shell and then placed into the paper envelope. Another makeup line I love does not use the plastic and the shadows often come with lines all over them where the paper presses into the product. I love how thoughtful Bravon was with his packaging.

The five pigments I ordered are beautiful! The pigmentation is beyond amazing. I did not use a primer in my swatches. If you love sparkle and you loved the Bare Minerals loose shadows, these are even better than those!

Gilded Earth and Ethereal make great liners. I got so many compliments when I wore these with Ethereal as my liner.

The primer was an unexpected love for me. I rarely reach for a primer. In my opinion, a good eyeshadow doesn't need one. But this one applied so smoothly over my eyelid, evened out any pigmentation, and really made the shadows wear well. I can see me reaching for this daily. I really love that it has a skin tint to it.

HD Vinyl Liquid Lipstick- Pink Moscato
When Bravon said these were long lasting, he was not kidding. I wore this for more than 9 hours with no touch up. I snacked and drank soda during the day, but did not have a large meal. This formula is comfortable, non-drying, has amazing pigment, and is long lasting. I can't wait to try more shades!

Lip Spa Aqua Gloss- Rose Petal Tea
This was another gift that I enjoyed. I now carry this in my pocket for touch-ups through the day. It is a great everyday kind of gloss, that hydrates the lips and adds some nice shine. It is not long lasting, but it does feel very good on the lips.

swatches of the lip colors

Single shadows in Oyser Pearl and Aventurine

These shadows were amazingly pigmented, like everything else from this brand. I cannot describe the texture of them. They are not super silky like UD or Dior, nor are they powdery. They are also not dry or gritty. They are much more substantial. They are soft, but they almost feel like a cream, like each particle is coated with pigment. They are like cashmere, compared to cotton. I am so intrigued that I ordered two more colors.

I wore all of my new babies for a whole day to test them out. Not only did they were like iron, they did not crease, did not fade, and did not irritate or break out my skin. When I say you only need to use a tiny amount, I mean it. Bravon did an amazing job with formulation. But, I expected nothing less than the best from him.

Rose Petal Tea on bare lips

Full face application using the pigments, Etheral liner, Oyster Pearl as brow highlight, and Pink Moscato on lips. I did not have complexion products, mascara, brow, or liners from Bravon so those are other brands.
Four hours after application.

Nine hours after application

I do have another order being delivered today with a blush, an eye liner, lip liner, and some more shadows. I will do another review once I have tried those out. I am overall very impressed by Bravon. I do not easily recommend everything from a brand. It has been a while since something knocked my socks off. But, these are really great! I did pay for these. Bravon doesn't even know who I am, though I did briefly meet him at the Master Class. (I was far too shy to speak.) I am so proud of this line for him and I wish him lots of success. I want to be Bravon when I grow up. I can't wait to try more things.

UPDATE: Order number two arrived. Here are some swatches:

top to bottom: cosmic crystal, virgo, moonbeam

top to bottom: seahorse, enchanted forest, jellyfish

left to right: black cherry sumi ultra matte lipcreme, ebony eyeliner, goji berry lip liner, hyacinth blush

Let me know below if you have tried anything or plan to. You will be so happy you did. I also encourage you to check out his Facebook page. Many fan photos there and swatches to help you decide.
